The Everett Piano Company was founded in 1883 in Boston and played an active role in the great piano-building history of that city. Everett pianos built during the era of this one were considered of the highest grade, and no expenses were spared by the factory in manufacturing a piano that artists would play and praise. In later years, the Everett name was more closely associated with excellent upright pianos, and eventually, the company was purchased by Yamaha, although no longer made today.
