In the modern history of pianos, a limited number of brands have enjoyed worldwide acclaim among a broad spectrum of educators, artists, and institutions. The Mason & Hamlin piano, built in North America, is one of them.  With it’s long and storied history, Mason & Hamlin pianos made in specific eras are, particularly in high demand. This Mason & Hamlin Monticello model is one of those pianos. It is a faithful replication of vintage Mason & Hamlin pianos from earlier years. Built with a patented Tension Resonator and utilizing other design innovations, this instrument also has a full Renner action providing the ultimate in touch, feel, and control. The piano has a thundering bass and a lush and rich tonal palette throughout the entire keyboard. Because the rosewood finish and cabinet are less than perfect, we have adjusted the price to accommodate. This piano will please the most demanding pianist who desires a performance grade instrument for a smaller studio or home.
