
Meet Classic Pianos' Affiliate Artist: Jill Timmons
Jill Timmons is an international artist-educator, whose work is sculpted by the ever-changing global market. Jill performs internationally as both a solo pianist and an ensemble artist. She has performed under the auspices of the National Endowment for the Arts and has recorded on the Laurel, Centaur, and Capstone labels. Ken Burns chose music from her Amy Beach recording as part of the soundtrack to his documentary, The War. As an NEA Fellow, she recorded the complete works for solo piano by American composer, William Bergsma. In 2021–2022, Jill was a Visiting Fellow at Yale University.
Classic Pianos is honored to have Jill Timmons serve as one of our artist/teacher affiliates in seven of our locations all throughout the US. She also serves as a consultant to the Yamaha Corporation of America.
